catching up.

cody's had six weeks off of school and we've been loving every second.  we made a huge to-do list of things we wanted to accomplish while he had the time, took several little trips, and have been able to get together with friends. i'm trying to forget that he has to start school in a week and i'll be a law school widow once again.  here's a little recap of the past few months.

this was back on thanksgiving weekend but we got to see matt, katelyn, and brody while they were in town...i'm still hoping they decide to move to arizona :)

took a trip to sedona with paul and emily.  we ate at the famous elote cafe for dinner then walked around the red rock fantasy christmas light displays. the next morning we explored main street then took a little hike through oak creek canyon where we finally came upon some snow!

love these girls! we all lived in helaman halls together and i'm so happy that some of us ended up together in az.  we definitely missed those that don't live here.

lauren came to town! this girl is the head coach for byu women's tennis so it was fun having her in town on a tennis trip.  we hit up some home decor stores, got some pizza and took her to sugar bowl for some good ol fashioned ice cream sundaes.

christmas was spent in utah this year with cody's family and i somehow managed to not get a single picture!

we went up to payson, az for new years and a very relaxing weekend.  my grandma willis passed away in august but we still have her house and gorgeous land up there to enjoy.  i love going up there and re-living childhood memories.  cody loves it too and is always begging to take weekend trips there.  we hiked to "the rocks" (a popular hike with grandma when we were kids), ate new years eve dinner and new years day breakfast at the famous 'beeline cafe', drank hot chocolate, watched 'elf' in her cozy living room, and fell asleep before midnight.
