we had a great thanksgiving this year (besides the fact that cody had to study the entire time-except for when it came time to eat). the past few years my extended family has gone out to eat for thanksgiving dinner just because it was easier on everyone. this year we decided to make dinner and i'm so glad we did! there's just nothing like watching the macy's parade and smelling homemade rolls and turkey in the oven (more on our turkey drama in a minute).
my dad carving the turkey - somehow the oven the turkey was in got turned off for about an hour and a half-ish before we noticed, so we had no choice but to turn on the convection bake and crank the temp., luckily it still turned out pretty tasty and only set us back an hour but i'm all for deep frying the turkey next year! (anyone ever done that?)
i'm thankful for so many things but right now i'm especially thankful that i'll have my husband back in a week! law school finals are the worst.
